  The team lead by Jacob Prater was exceptional because Jacob knew how to repair the rotten wood with cedar rather than pine. The last time, the stair treads were replaced with pine. Also, Jacob knew that these much used outside stairs and the ramp in front of our house needed a different paint that the last painter had used, plus two coats. Most importantly, the Tribble painters worked very carefully to prepare the stucco on the house's outside before painting. Jacob made sure that the colors I had chosen for the walls, deck, wooden stairs, and wooden shutters were just what I wanted. He communicated well with me and my husband. Attention to detail was excellent. The little things that they saw to made all the difference. Thank you also to Bubba, Quan, and Loren, plus the office staff at Tibble for their assistance in getting the project underway.

  We had both the exterior and several interior rooms of our home painted by Tribble. Their quote process and invoice communication was top notch. The 6 person crew was led by Leslie who was organized, conscientious, and led her team through highly intricate work, including caulking newly installed skylights, carpentry repairs, and dealing with oddly shaped rooms. She and her team did a meticulous job (they even protected the flower beds on the sides of house!) and everything looks great.   I have used Tribble Painting Company for both exterior and interior painting.  The exterior team led by Alayna did a great job.
The Interior team led by Will also did an exceptional job.  There was extensive patching and repair needed, and the wallpaper was tenacious, but they left me with smooth walls and a great paint job.  The results were everything I hoped for

  House painting is both craft and art.  The team from Tribble led by Will were masters of both.  They repaired multiple nail holes and small damaged areas.  They removed tenacious wallpaper.   They did an amazing job of transforming dark rooms into light and bright spaces.  I'm so happy with the results.

Join Todd Tribble of Tribble Painting as we go over some obvious signs that it's time to do some maintenance on your deck. In our local area of Ann Arbor and SE Michigan, we predict most decks will last 3-5 years before needing some work done on it. We see all 4 seasons in Michigan and the combination of temperature swings over 100 degrees through out the year and the ice and snow can really beat down on a thin layer of stain trying to protect your deck.

It's important to spot these types of marks on your deck asap and make a plan to ensure the issue doesn't compound itself by sitting through the years without proper care. The longer you let these problems develop on your deck the more expensive the maintenance and care will be.

In this video we take a look at local product, their recycled line of paint called Preserve. Tribble Painting always recommends everyone recycle their paint. The actual color of the paint can range from batch to batch but they usually end up on the brown or gray color with all of the mixing.

Looking for recycled paint? The internet is your best bet if you live far away from a local paint store. Not all major stores or brands will have what you are looking for. Yes, recycled paint can save you on paint, but please make sure to do your research on the paint you choose before you put in on the wall. Not all batches of recycled paint are the same!

In SE Michigan carpenter bees are everywhere are so are the predators that follow them. They are important pollinators and some of the only pollinators to some native Michigan plant species. You can paint interior walls with almost any brush, but our 18-inch roller can get the job done quickly and make it look good. Make sure to keep the right amount of paint on your roller so it doesn't drip or spatter all over your floors. An 18-inch roller might not be the best roller for your project. Corners can be tricky and if you only have a few walls to do, a smaller brush would be more efficient. Always remember in the world of painting, larger projects use larger brushes and speed doesn't determine the quality of a lasting paint job.

How To Paint An Interior Wall - Part 1: Preparing Your Wall

TPC Project Manger Mark is back with the second installment of How To Paint An Interior Wall. Part 2 of this mini-series is all about wall patching. Patching or spackle to some, is great for smoothing out your surface that will cause most uneven surfaces disappear after some prime and paint.

Remember with mud/spackle less is better. When in doubt, let your quick dry patching chill out for a few minutes and you can check again. Too much spackle/patching can cause you to wait longer than you really need to before you sand down the patch.

When sanding, its always a good idea to put up plastic or dropcloths to keep your area clean and make clean up much easier. Cleaning up the dust isn't always perfect so TPC always keep a vacuum on hand to keep our clients home nice and clean!

The wall has been patched, the mud has dried, sanded and the wall is ready to prime. If you do not prime your patches, you will get flashing. Flashing will have a different sheen along the walls. This is easily noticeable, and any standard drywall primer would be perfect.

Welcome to our channel. We try our best to help home owners understand problems that may occur in your home and some great ways to fix the problems. We've been painting and dealing with drywall in Ann Arbor for over 30 years and we've seen a lot.

In this video we talk about a very common occurrence in homes in our area. The difference in temperature between summer and winter can get upwards towards 100-120 degrees. The cold and heat are the main factors on why you often find nails that work their way out of the layers of paint over the years. These are commonly referred to as nail pops and by watching this video, we hope you can easily identify any nails popping out of your walls and a way you can fix it for good.

In the late spring/early summer of 2021, we worked on this lovely home in the heart of Ann Arbor. The part of the city of Ann Arbor is known for its bird population and mainly the woodpeckers in the area. As you can imagine, the wood siding on this home is under constant assault from the woodpeckers and the sun. We stained the wood siding, the entire deck and painted the lower portion of EIFS along the bottom.

EIFS stands for Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems. It's designed to keep your house dry by adding in some layers to the wall and help keeping the home insulated from moisture. You can learn more about EIFS and if it's right choice for your home here: https://www.eima.com/eifs

Staining Wood Siding & Painting EIFS

In the summer of 2021, Tribble Painting was hired to make over a deck that has reached the end of this solid stain life. The deck was extremely flaky and in Michigan, 3-5 years of exposure to the elements will start to peel any type of stain. Brutally cold winters and hot dry summers mixed in with wet spring and fall seasons makes Michigan a place where maintaining your deck should occur every 3-5 years. This project shown in this video was done in one day.

In the month of June in 2021, Tribble Painting had the pleasure of adding some stunning and amazing color back into the historical district of our hometown of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Tribble has been serving the greater AA area for over 30 years and we love to work in our local areas, especially in the amazing historical district.

This house had some extensive peeling of paint, but no matter how long it's been or how harsh the environment can be on natural wood siding, Tribble Painting is always ready.

Welcome back to our channel featuring your favorite painting company 😏

In this video we take a look at a project in the first few months of 2023. We had many challenges on this project, and many of them were weather. This project was done in the Dixboro area of Ann Arbor and is one of the coolest houses we've seen to date. When we get awesome clients and an amazing home to work on, we feel lucky to be a part of it!

Aaron has been doing home improvement for almost 20 years. He's a expert painter and one of our lead trainers. He's known for his attention to detail and every bit of it was needed to meet the expectations of our high end client. The project also featured an amazing stair case that needed to be painted with a dark purple paint. Loads of handwork were needed and Aaron and his crew were up to the task!

Big Interior Makeover in Ann Arbor!

Thanks for checking out our channel! In this video we take a look at an interior project we completed in the winter months of 2022.

The clients wanted to update the look and feel of their interior and it was our pleasure to help them out! Our clients have a full family home with some work from home needs so we didn't get free reign of a vacant home. We had to work around their schedule and I think we nailed it!

In this video you'll see our painters start in the kitchen area and finish in the main entry way. This is a unique process since we could only really work in a single room or section of the house while our clients occupied the rest of their home. It was a game of chess and our goal is provide a great experience as well as expert results for our clients.

Thanks for checking out our channel. In this video we take a look at some interior design elements we don't come across very often: coffered ceilings.

These types of ceilings have history all the way back into ancient times. Originally designed for supporting heavy stone ceilings, it has survived the years to still be something desired to have in your home today.

Coffered ceilings saw a surge in popularity in the Renaissance, and again in the 19th and early 20th centuries, notably in the homes of the wealthy elite, who were able to afford the expense.
